About Me

I’ve been passionate about woodworking for as long as I can remember. Born and raised in Amesbury, Massachusetts, I’ve spent most of my life here—building, crafting, and creating. For over 30 years, I served as the Amesbury Building Inspector, a role that deepened my appreciation for structure, detail, and craftsmanship. While I originally focused on building furniture, my journey into wooden model making began somewhat unexpectedly. One day, I came across a project in Wood Magazine, and it sparked a new creative interest. What started as a simple hobby quickly grew into a true passion. With each build, I pushed myself to add more detail, refine my techniques, and take on more intricate designs. Today, I work primarily with high-quality plans from Toys and Joys, which allow me to create detailed, durable, and visually striking wooden vehicles and models. I’ve always enjoyed a good challenge, and these projects give me exactly that—a creative outlet that keeps me learning, growing, and doing what I love most: working with wood.

Horsedrawn Carriage

This wooden horse-drawn carriage is a special piece that showcases my craftsmanship and attention to detail. It was carefully scaled down from a full-size carriage and built entirely without plans, relying on careful observation and hands-on skill. Every part of this model was shaped and assembled with precision, reflecting the dedication I bring to all my handmade wooden toys.

Although this particular model isn’t available for purchase, it represents the quality and care you can expect from my collection. I take pride in creating durable, beautifully crafted wooden toys that are designed to be both charming and lasting keepsakes.
